The Adventures of November 2008

The month of November has been one fraught with peril and adventure. To start of the this tale we must go back to the month of October on the 31st day, when Lorena went to the GI doctor to have an endoscopy. When we went to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital to this procedure done we were full expect to go home in about two hours from the time that we checked in for the appointment and ready to receive all of the greedy little trick-or-treaters asking for hand outs. Well, it it is now 30 November and we are still in the hospital.
To say the least Lorena and I have gone though a lot this month. But despite the chest tubes, ventilator tubes, torn (or as the doctors call it perforated) intestines and all the other stuff that has happened the Lord has been good to us. We are both still alive. Our faith in the healing power of the Lord has increased a hundred fold.
Other things that have happened.
I relinquished my command after a year of holding the coveted title of Stealth Bomber 6. During the change of command ceremony I had two of my Soldiers deliver a dozen red roses to Lorena at MCG hospital. So even though she was not there she still played an important role in the ceremony which is symbolic of the major role that she as my wife as played in my success as a commander.

This ends the blog for the month of November more follow for December. . .Johnny Wilson just looking sexy. . .

Dear Lorena and John,
I am glad to hear that Lorena is doing better. I cried that day after Lorena called me from the hospital. It also was a slap to my head to appreciate the life I have. Lorena you say you are surrounded by guardian angels. Well you are also a guardian angel to everyone with keeping this blog and showing and holding your FAITH. As I always say, you are an inspiration and you and John are SAINTS. Anyway, I tried to call your cell the next week, but I must have your old cell#. Please, email me with your new cell# and address. I would like to call you and send you something. Also look for an email from me with new pictures of my kids. You take care and I always pray for you!
Love,
Your little friend from Utah,
Linda

I'm so glad you have a blog. I had e-mail problems for awhile, so if you let everyone know I missed it. Luckily I just found your link off of Joy Paets' site. We have a blog too at paulandcaddiewellingfamily.blogspot.com. That might put a smile on Lorena's face. We'll keep her in our prayers. Love ya Lorena, CADDIE. Oh, and I hope you had a grand Christmas!

You two are so incredibly tough. Heavenly Father must have a lot of faith in you (which in not misplaced, I might add!). Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you both. Hope 2009 brings better health news your way. Much love ...
